The Mandalorian Will make it through Season 4 says Jon Favreau, as long as fans ‘still dig it’. Season 3 of The Mandalorian Now airing on Disney+. However, we already know that Season 4 has been greenlit as creator Favreau has already written what happens next. Talks with Film stories However, recently, Favreau says that season 4 will not be the end, however it will depend on whether fans still enjoy what they see.
“Beyond the series? ToIke beyond the fourth season? Yes… Well, I hope so! I hope. I really like the dynamic of these two characters who theoretically don’t age. I think there is a lot of potential energy in this relationship, especially when the baby is no longer a baby, aNed starting to grow – BIt happens so slowly that we can actually play it, hopefully for a while. But it all depends on the audience if they like what we do. AAs long as they dig it, we dig doing it and it’s a fun show I don’t want Stay away anytime soon.”

There are dangers to this approach. If you don’t have an end point in mind, what happens when you run out of interesting stories? What happens if Grogo is less popular when he grows up a bit. Even without building to a climax, a performance can feel lacking. That’s fine in an episodic show that tells a new story every week. However Mando Doesn’t work like that and so far the whole story is connected and building, somewhere.
If Favreau wants to tell stories for years with these two (Grogo and Dean), then as far as I’m concerned they should reboot and skip time eventually. Build to a climax that feels satisfying, skip ahead 10 years and then explore a new story about what happens next. But they, Favreau is a successful writer and director, well, I’m not, so maybe don’t listen to me.
