Lionsgate has released the first trailer for its upcoming blockbuster The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Official trailer for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes debuted during Lionsgate’s CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas. The trailer offers fans a glimpse into the life of young Coriolanus Snow, who would eventually become the tyrannical President Snow, and his involvement in the 10th Hunger Games. is supposed to follow young Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blythe, The ballad about songbirds and snakes will explore the origins of the character who would eventually become the infamous ruler of Panem, played by Donald Sutherland in the original films. As a prequel, the film promises to shed light on Snow’s early years, long before he adopted his cruel and tyrannical ways.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Directed by Francis Lawrence, who helmed the last three films in the original series. Michael Arendt, who won an Academy Award for his screenplay for Little Miss Sunshinewrote the script to the side Assassin’s Creed Author Michael Leslie. In addition to Tom Blythe, the film also stars Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer, Jason Schwartzman, Peter Dinklage, Viola Davis, Bren Gorman, Fionola Flanagan and Josh Andres Rivera, among many others.

The Hunger Games Focused on Katniss Everdeen’s rising popularity in the televised Deathmatch Battle Royale and her subsequent leadership role in an uprising against a fascist government.
